Observation poem

Blades
Sharp to the skin
Wet
Prickly
Shades of green
Moss crawls all over the floor
Leaves provide refreshment
Speaking of leaves, they're yellow
The air feels cooler
In just a few months this ground will
be covered in snow

Wait why am I focused on this
It's nice
The sun is out
The leaves are still green

  1. Hola Marcus. I really like how you set the scene using only a few descriptors, as it's short and to the point. As a reader I got caught up in picturing the scene and then your second stanza really surprised me. I like how you mention the snow and then snap back to reality and realize it's still nice out so you shouldn't be taking the weather for granted!
